I dont know how this shop has such a high rating.
Yes, the staff was incredibly kind and gentle, but the overall experience felt like a scam because of the lack of flexibility and all the hidden fees.
I had made a “one star” plan reservation online for the same day, and when I arrived, the sign showed the same price, so I thought everything was fine. However, the selection was very limited ? to get something nice and stylish, I had to upgrade to a premium kimono.
It was quite hot (27°C on October 5th), but they didn’t offer me a yukata. I noticed them later, but no one suggested I could choose one. Although the lady helping me was patient and sweet, she didn’t give much advice during the selection. I recommend coming with a clear idea of what you want or some prior experience with kimono coordination, especially for choosing the obi.
Then came the frustrating part: everything costs extra. A prettier belt, each accessory, even a slightly better hairstyle ? all with additional charges. It’s normal to pay more for premium options, but here, even the basics were 500 yen extra, so the price adds up very quickly.
As for the hairstyle, the lady was so kind, but it was done in just five minutes and looked unfinished. My hair is curly and thick, but I had brushed and braided it beforehand. I asked for a side braid, but hair was sticking out everywhere. I paid 1,100 yen for that, and the hair accessory wasn’t even included.
I chose the premium kimono plan (+9,000 yen) thinking that accessories or hairstyles would be included ? but they weren’t. I was shocked as the extra fees kept coming.
I ended up leaving the shop feeling so cheated that I cried outside. I still tried to enjoy my day, but it completely ruined the experience for me.
I returned the kimono 13 minutes late and was charged 2,200 yen. It was written on a sign, so I can’t argue, but the inflexibility left such a bitter taste after an already disappointing day. I didn’t have my card, so my husband had to come and pay, and the whole atmosphere became tense.
Despite the staff’s sweetness, I absolutely do not recommend this shop unless you’re ready to pay a lot more than you expect ? for very little in return. I had no choice that day because of my schedule and hotel location, but I wouldn’t go back, and honestly, it made me lose interest in renting a kimono again.

スタッフの方は本当に優しくて丁寧でした。ですが、全体的な体験はとても残念で、正直「なぜ高評価が多いのか理解できません」。
まず、着物の種類がとても少なく、可愛いものや今っぽいデザインを選ぶにはプレミアムプラン(+9,000円)にしないといけませんでした。10月なのに27度もありましたが、浴衣の提案は一切なし。後から見かけたのですが、選ばせてもらえませんでした。
さらに驚いたのは、ほとんどすべてが追加料金だったことです。帯、小物、髪型…すべてにプラス料金。
ヘアセットは5分ほどで終わり、1,100円もしたのに髪飾りは含まれていませんでした。仕上がりもあまりきれいではありませんでした。
返却の際、13分遅れてしまい2,200円の延滞料金を請求されました。確かに看板には書いてありましたが、同じ金額で「翌日返却プラン」があるなら、この金額は不公平だと感じました。もし知っていたら、そちらを選びました。
スタッフの対応自体は素晴らしかったですが、料金システムと柔軟性のなさが本当に残念。
優しいスタッフさんたちには罪はありませんが、もう利用しないと思います。
