I really enjoyed my experience at this shop. The ladies were very friendly and helped with putting on the kimono (yes, they speak English). I loved the experience of wearing a kimono and walking around Kamakura. The best part was the reaction of the older Japanese women when I first left the shop and when I returned there was a lady there ( I think waiting for someone). They remarked about how I looked and they were very happy to see me taking part in their culture. So don’t have any reservations about wearing a kimono!
