Walking around Tokyo wearing a yukata was a great experience to have. The staff was friendly in helping me choose the style and getting my hair done completed the look! We had hours to take pictures but ended the experience early because it was getting too hot. All in all I’d recommend Vasara Kimono rental.

Didn’t need to make reservation when looking for a kimono to rent! Took us in right away and Customer service was absolutely great! Would definitely come back here again if needed to rent a kimono again!

I went to the one on the 9th floor because of the positive reviews on Google. However, my experience here was not good. Upon arriving at the store, I found out that the real prices were higher than listed online. There was a sign that said if I reserve online, it would cost me about 1000 yen less. I then booked for the next available time slot to get the discount. From then on customer service went downhill. At first, it was non existent and I had to repeatedly asked to be helped. Then, when I finally got service, I could tell the girl who was helping me didn’t want to be there. When I came back to return the kimono, again no staff helped me or greeted me. When I reached out to one of the staff, they told me I can just leave the outfit there. The way my kimono was wrapped, the part where the seams attached the fabrics together shows on the front. I don’t think it was properly wrapped. There were also some hidden costs (about 500 yen) more on top of taxes that I was not aware of.
